Frequently Asked Questions

An EMC ferrite absorber is a specialized electromagnetic absorbing material used in EMC chambers to reduce RF reflections and improve measurement accuracy.
It typically operates in a wide frequency range from 30 MHz to 40 GHz, supporting both RF and microwave testing applications.
High-quality EMC ferrite absorbers can achieve reflectivity up to approximately −50 dB, depending on frequency and chamber configuration.
The absorber can handle around 1.8 kW/m² RF power, making it suitable for high-power EMC testing environments.
They reduce electromagnetic reflections from chamber surfaces, creating a controlled environment for accurate EMC measurements.
Yes. Ferrite absorbers are often used together with ferrite tiles and foam absorbers to achieve broadband RF absorption.
They comply with NRL-8093, UL-94, and DIN 4102 fire-retardant standards, ensuring safe operation in testing facilities.
These absorbers can typically operate at temperatures up to 120 °C without performance degradation.
Yes. They are RoHS and REACH compliant, meaning they meet environmental safety standards.
By absorbing electromagnetic energy instead of reflecting it, ferrite absorbers create a stable RF environment that allows precise EMC and antenna measurements.
